This project continues to summarize and to audit the air quality protection outcome of the local EPB for the year. Besides that, air pollution control performance annual report of local EPB was compiled to display their efforts. In auditing the performance plans executed by local EPB in 2007, EPA had requested different projects to assist with the inspection works. The works in this project were to: take sample and analyze the surface dust loading on streets, inspect improvement of complained plants, question public opinion about application cases, and assist other related affairs. About these works, we accomplished analyzing 375 samples, 5 streets of each county, and the surface dust loading is among 0.61~10.42g/m2. We also inspected 129 complained plants and accomplished 20028 copies of questionnaire. Besides, we checked season reports and environmental news of each local EPB, and assisted air pollution control committee to hold 6 air basin forums and 25 on-site inspections in the local EPB. In revising the “Auditing Rules for Effects of Local EPB’s State Implementation Plan in 2008”, we adjusted the weight percentage of some index, modified the auditing rules slightly, and increased add-decrease units. In the future, we may modify the rules substantially and they will emphasize public opinion and results theory.
